Hello!

It is with the greatest sense of excitement and humility that I write you this letter.  I’ve recently assumed the role of the Young Adults Pastor over The Bridge here at EMIC.  To say that I’m ecstatic would be an understatement.  I’ve been blessed by the warm welcome from the EMIC staff, and let me tell you–they are BOUGHT IN for what the future holds for The Bridge and our young adults.  I’m eager to get to know all of you better, and see all that God is doing in your lives.  This is going to be an amazing journey we’re on, growing our faith, learning more about the undeserved grace of God, and being agents of change to our world!  This is a new season at EMIC, and The Bridge will be as big a part of that as any!

P.S. Make sure you invite a friend(or two) to The Bridge event this Sunday night at the Mayer’s house.  Fall Fest 2013 is going to be awesome! See you there! Check the Facebook Event Page for directions, more info, and to RSVP! —->TheBridgeDFW

Donnie Petty
Young Adults Pastor
Eagle Mountain Church

Hey Everybody!

What a great service we had this month with Donnie Petty! What a powerful message! He shared with us the principle, and the heart of 2 Corinthians 5:21– “The Great Substitution.”
In “the great substitution” Jesus took OUR SIN and gave us HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS!  He took OUR SICKNESS and gave us HIS HEALTH. Jesus died so that we could be ALIVE – and THAT is our identity! THAT is what we identify with! Praise God!!!
It is important as believers to be FULLY AWARE of the fact that our identity is NOT enfolded in our history, mistakes, and failures BUT is, in fact, encased IN CHRIST and HIS righteousness! God NO LONGER sees you under the curse, unworthy, sick, or poor. We need to take advantage of the gift given to us by God!
We will be announcing details for our next Bridge service soon, so stay tuned for details!

Have you ever noticed  your self-talk?  You know what I mean – that internal conversation you have with yourself – the one where you put yourself down, rehearse your failures, or view yourself through the lens of sin and disappointment.

It’s time to stop that!  It’s time to see  yourself as God sees you – in Christ!

Donnie Petty is our guest speaker and will show you how to make your thoughts line up with God’s thoughts toward you – to see yourself in Christ,
the real you!  Service is this Sunday, September 1st at 6:30 p.m. in the SKA Building.

The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the service will start promptly at 6:30.  The service will last about one hour then we are off to Main Event for fun, food, and fellowship.  The first forty to sign the attendance roster Sunday night will have their Main Event activities paid for!

See you Sunday!

Pastor Chris Wilder

I. Am. Responsible.

Where are you going?
Where are you headed?

Are you simply surviving the week and just doing the day-to-day items that are placed before you? Or are you really taking responsibility for your life and with your eyes on the goal – aiming for the high mark of what God has called you to do?

We will be talking about responsibility and its relationship to vision this Sunday, August 4, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the SKA Building. Without vision, we perish. Without vision, we have no direction and become scattered and without purpose. I want to encourage you to lift up your eyes and become a person of vision, to fully embrace God’s plan for you and to take on the responsibility He has place before you.

To do just that you have to make a quality decision to take responsibility for the vision resident on the inside of you and become a person of vision and purpose.

We will also have a sendoff celebration! Come join us as we celebrate our college and career bound friends.
